An employee of the National Cybersecurity Agency wins first place at an international competition in Malaysia

A specialist from the National Cybersecurity Agency, operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, successfully represented the country at an international competition. Jeyhun Jafarov, head of the Cybersecurity Operations Center of the agency, was awarded first place in the “Capture the Flag” tournament held within the “CyberDSA 2026” event organized in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The contest, attended by field specialists from 46 countries, was won by our representative after completing all tasks with precision.
Postxronika.az reports with reference to the National Cybersecurity Agency (MKA) that, as part of complex tests, participants were given practical assignments on the security of artificial intelligence systems and the detection of vulnerabilities. At the same time, knowledge was assessed through real scenarios in the areas of preventing cyberattacks and protecting information systems. The Azerbaijani specialist’s victory on this prestigious platform once again demonstrated the high level of the country’s human resources in the field of digital security.
In recent years, important steps have been taken in the country toward building a cybersecurity ecosystem and aligning it with international standards. Such achievements by local specialists in global competitions create a basis for the reliable protection of national digital infrastructures. Experts say that the decisive role is played by the accumulation of international experience by young professionals in terms of ensuring the security of state information resources.
