Statement issued in response to reports about the resettlement of Mollahəsənli village in Dashkasan district

Some claims have appeared in certain mass media outlets regarding the start of the resettlement process for the village of Mollahəsənli in Dashkasan district. In connection with the reports, “Dashkasan Dəmir Filiz” LLC released a statement, saying that at present no active implementation process is being carried out in the direction of relocating the said settlement. The company said that in the area, only technical and economic feasibility studies and preliminary assessment research are being carried out within the framework of the iron ore project.

Referencing Postxronika.az LLC, the report says that during the investigations, various alternative areas, including those involving property and the number of residents, are analyzed for the placement of the project infrastructure. The expected visit by specialists to the village is also part of these scientific and technical studies and does not mean that a final decision on resettlement has been made. The exact location of the infrastructure will be determined by the relevant state bodies based on the results of the studies.
