Relatives who carried out a series of thefts in Goychay have been detained

People who carried out a series of thefts from apartments in the territory of the Goychay district and caused serious financial damage to citizens have been exposed. Unidentified criminals who entered homes illegally were caught with more than 24,000 manat in cash and household items worth 2,500 manat. As a result of operational-investigative measures carried out by law-enforcement agencies, R. Aghayev and his father-in-law, R. Dadashov, suspected of committing the unlawful acts, were identified and detained.

Postxronika.az reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs that a criminal case has been immediately opened into the incident and, by a court decision, a remand in custody measure has been chosen for both detainees. Police officers are also clarifying whether the criminal group took part in other similar incidents, and the necessary investigative measures are ongoing. Appropriate steps are being taken to return some of the seized spoils to their owners, with part of the evidence being taken as material proof.

The prompt investigation and solution of crimes against property is of great importance in terms of protecting public safety. Operational police measures once again demonstrate that public order and the inviolability of property are reliably ensured in the district territory. Providing citizens’ private homes with security systems plays an important role in preventing such unpleasant incidents.
