Death toll in road accident in Garadagh rises to 4 — UPDATED

The number of people killed in a road traffic accident in the Garadagh district, in the settlement of Garadagh, has risen to 4.

Postxronika.az reports that this was stated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

It was reported that while assessing operating conditions at the scene, it was determined that the road-traffic accident occurred as a result of a truck branded "Mercedes Atego" crashing into metal partitions, and that citizens were found trapped inside the deformed vehicle.

Using special rescue equipment, rescuers extracted the bodies of four people who were trapped in the vehicle and also took out one person alive, then handed them over to the relevant authorities.

Investigations are under way by the relevant agencies into the incident.
