An event dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the people’s poet Samad Vurgun held at the DSX Special School

In the DSX Special School, an event dedicated to the jubilee of prominent writer Samad Vurgun was organized in accordance with a relevant order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The ceremony was attended by the educational institution’s teaching staff, cadets, and members of the great poet’s family. The speakers provided detailed information about the poet’s life, his rich creative legacy, and his exceptional services to the development of national literature.

Postxronika.az reports with reference to the DSX that the event highlighted the great role of the writer’s works based on Azerbaijanism in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism. It was noted that the poet’s efforts aimed at preserving the purity of the native language hold a special place in our literature history. In the artistic part of the ceremony, the cadets recited the poet’s works and staged short performances based on his plays.
