Russia’s Central Bank has decided to keep the key rate at an annual 14%. The central bank cited persistent high inflation pressures as the reason for its decision.
Postxronika.az reports citing TASS that the regulator said the economy is growing at a moderate pace in the second half of 2026.
According to the Central Bank, as of October 19, annual inflation stood at 6.8%. By the end of the year, it is forecast to be in the range of 7.1–7.6%.
It was noted that the next decisions on the key rate will be made taking into account inflation dynamics, inflation expectations, as well as domestic and external risks.
